“Pop prog” is how Fernando Perdomo, mastermind behind Dreaming in Stereo describes the sound of his musical project, and to be honest, I cannot come up with a better description for the band’s first studio work. This is the sonic result a visionary man who celebrates his admiration for 70’s rock and modern Euro sounds, and has created a well crafted musical enterprise that allows people like you and me to experience how rock music sounds in the head of a homegrown Miami music wonder child.
Perdomo sings about how he is “Not gonna move to L.A”, being “Lazy” and encourages you to “Steal this song”, and it all sounds real. His lyrical work is solid, honest, and it flows almost as natural as his guitar playing. It's a very impressive work from a band led by a guy that apparently has not been musically affected by earning good money playing with people like Christian Castro and Paulina Rubio.
So now, I encourage everyone to get out there and steal this album!… it’s worth the sweat.
